We started Little Buck to "fill the gap" for internet
access in our local region. With the advent of DSL and Cable
Modems access, it has become harder to find a quality dial-up
service at an affordable price that doesn't limit your access
time or serve up additional advertising in your browser. And
those higher-speed options are not yet universally available
in our region, leaving a large number of users with no connection
option other than dial-up access.
When our local access provider dropped support for dial-up,
we faced a choice: Pay more for a national-level provider,
or commit to a long-term contract with another local service.
We found a third way out - Start our own ISP service, and
build it the way WE want access: no commiment, reliable connections,
and a fair price. We are now able to provide connections through
over 5,000 phone numbers across 47 states.
Nestled in the foothills of Western North Carolina, "Little
Buck" is an actual creek in our community. Like the great
network of lakes and rivers feeding the ocean from little
streams like ours, "Little Buck" network offers
access to the vast amount of information stored across the
world wide web. C'mon in and get your toes wet!
